How’s it hanging?

How’s it hanging?

I can’t believe it but it is true, the show is up and it fills the space nicely.  The reception is this Sunday, March 7 from 12:15 to 1:30.  The Gallery’s hours are Monday – Friday 10am – 3pm and Sunday 12:15 – 1pm.

Things are going pretty good right now.  The chances of me accepting to do a show that requires me to do that much work on short notice anytime in the near future are pretty slim, though.  Now is the time to start making new work at a more steady pace but also start spinning yarn and maybe even doing a bit of personal travel.  Or maybe I’ll just try to focus on getting Fios working at home. . .

It’s been an interesting lesson, though.   I’ve learned that while it is possible for me to create a substantial lot of work in a short period of time,  I’d rather have more time so I can stop working on a piece and start something else.  The importance of that is so that I can walk by that piece and ruminate on it and feel confident that I came up with the best solution. I feel like that can only happen if the piece is given a little bit of space.

Here is some of the new stuff that I was only able to photograph in the gallery:
